2021, here we go.
So far in 2021!I have had a lot of new things, fun things, scary things, and dumb things happen to me. Early February we had a wild snow storm for a week and lost power, homes, and so much more. The next big thing for me was March, I got a new job at American Eagle and a promotion all in under a week! Then not too long after my new promotion I went into the hospital, they thought it was a kidney infection but turned out to be pneumonia! Yeah, we have no idea, just my luck apparently. Then we finally got rid of that and two weeks into healing I caught it yet, AGAIN! But like they always say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, or whatever 😉
So we got through that and living life, working hard and enjoying being alive. Speed up to my normal yearly PCP visit where I had asked for a refill of my birth control pills, all to find out that I cannot legally ever be prescribed birth control ever again in my entire life due to too many blood clots. So here we go, yet another adventure I did not sign up for. So time goes by, I’m waiting and waiting for my period to come, and it never does. So I continue on with life.. Until.. BOOM. Not only did I get my period but I’m pretty positive that I got every single woman on planet earths period as well. I was going through 32+ SUPER tampons in one day, I kid you not. So of course I take myself to the doctor to tell them that, hey, I’m kinda like bleeding to death or whatever, whatcha wanna do about that? And of course they knew exactly what do to and gave me a shot and boom! A week later, no more bleeding! So I finally calm down from that, get back to work and I am not up to par. I want naps, I want to sit all day and I’m weak.
So I go in to the ER because on top of all this I had just a few days earlier found out that I, in fact, have a blood clot in my eye.
Yes. I know. Could Allies luck truly get any worse? Yup. I go into the ER and they admit me for what they thought was a kidney infection, so of course I get admitted, lots of blood, tests, and figuring everything out. As we’re doing tests they come back and notify me that I in fact do *NOT* have a kidney infection but, that I have a pretty serious liver infection. At this point I’m like, alright everyone party is over, you can all go home. But nope, no jokes, no fun, just straight up sad liver. So we get through that, go home after a few days and I start feeling bad again. Dizzy, hot yet also so cold, tired, clammy and yellow, fever. So I call my trusty pall Dr. (we will call him Shmuff) Dr. Shmuff and I say “Hey, Pal, I ain’t feeling too snazzy and I’m 99% sure I have shingles, again. So of course Shmuff calls me in a handy dandy hospital room and here we are: continue on next post;
