Hey y’all, sorry for the late update everyone has been waiting for. Today we woke up, planned to have the biopsy and start the next step! Dr. K came in, told us all the risks and dangers of going into a biopsy with such severe doses of blood thinners. We did manage to pause my blood thinners at midnight in hopes it would help a bit. After Dr. K came in, the tech came and rolled me down for “pre-op” They were running a bit late so it took longer than expected and more sleepy meds than they had expected. I was awake the entire time up until when the procedure had ended. I was in pain, tired, and just ready to go back upstairs. They don’t let you go back upstairs until you pee and I was like okay.. heck yeah I can pee, no worries, Pal. So mom and I went to make sure I peed, no pain, no struggle, just your every day bathroom stop. Until it wasn’t. I was casually wiping when mom looked over and told me not to move. So. Much. Blood. She immediately got the nurse, she rushed in and rushed me back to my bed. Called pretty much anyone you could name, told then I was bleeding full on, not just spotting and that I would be on bed rest for the entire rest of the night.. I know what you’re thinking cause I know I sure was… bed rest.. all night? Let me just tell y’all something. I was at an all time low peeing IN MY BED!!! I was like no no no I DO NOT pee in beds. that is a no no from me. The rest of that is history we will just say I can now check that off of my depression bucket list. The night goes by with regularly checking mt hemoglobin, looking for bruising, and yes, peeing IN MY BED. So, if you follow along with my story and hear from friends and family he easy and short way of saying this is Pat (the kidney) is not happy. Pat is just as fed up with this as I am, but we stick together. We met the most amazing, caring, and genuinely sweet couple going through the same stuff as us. God definitely knew what he was doing when he moved us floor after floor to get us here. We are SO grateful for all the support and all the boba fund that makes my day hehe. So keep the prayers coming, keep calm, and buckle up cause the kidney coaster is going pretty fast lately. We love you all and stay tuned for more to come. Thanks y’all!
